The University of Guyana (UG)’s Institute of Distance and Continuing Education (IDCE) recently opened a branch at Charity, Region Two.The Ministry of Education has disclosed that the facility on the Essequibo Coast houses a computer training centre and will be offering courses in Mathematics, English and other subject areas for adults and students who did not perform well at the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC).The Charity branch complements existing centres in New Amsterdam, Region Six and Georgetown.The IDCE branch on the Essequibo CoastUG Bursar Lloyd Seeram lauded the Region Two administration for its role in establishing the centre,Cheap China Jerseys, noting that it will be of great benefit to Essequibians.He said that the university is working to install telephone lines in the building so that the computer laboratory receives internet access.
